It's not easy following up a great review. I'm charged with doing just that in regard to Sim City 4's expansion pack, Rush Hour. Jerry wrote a great, comprehensive review of the game a few months back (see SimCity 4) but he's carrying a huge school load right now and can't do Rush Hour. I, on the other hand, have been playing it off and on for since its release. We'll see if I can stop playing Railroad Tycoon 3 long enough to actually do the Rush Hour review this week and get it released.

You have to love this time of the year. Game after game after game is released. Of course, I need to work more to buy Christmas gifts which means only one thing: less sleep for me. One of my most recent insomnia-aids is "Rise of Nations" from Microsoft Games.

The quick take from my online review: "'Rise of Nations'" is a worthy successor to the long line of real time strategy games. Its game play is fast and the tech tree (more than 50 technologies to research) reasonably rich giving long time RTS gamers plenty of replay value. "
